Finally, even if the relevant agreements amounted to agreements to pay Riba, the principal sums advanced could validly be claimed (Usmani, 2001). Hence, Murabaha Agreements should be in accordance with Islamic law, all that is required is certification by Islamic Bank’s Religious Supervisory Board and the principal amounts are dispensed in accordance with the terms of Murabaha Agreements (Usmani, 2001). The Gharar contains uncertainty in a contract or sale where the goods may or may not be available (the bird in the air or the fish in the water). It shows ambiguity in the consideration or terms of a contract. As such the contract would not be void. An example tainted with Gharar is an agreement to sell goods which have already been sold (Vogel and Samuel, 1998). This paper finds Gharar in depth in three contracts. The three contracts that I have analyzed in this paper are about car, property and stocks. The Bank has followed the methods of Islamic banking while still Gharar can be found in them. Elements of Riba and Gharar are present in the contractual documents. The study tells that the recent financial crisis began in 2008 – although signs of the crisis could be identified in 2007- since then, the crisis has being expanded in all countries worldwide causing severe losses to businesses of all industrial sectors. In its primary form, the crisis was related with the banking sector in US- in fact, the subprime products that were promoted by the US banks were proved to be more risky than initially estimated- as a result, US banks were highly exposed to the recession. Many banks in US collapsed – as a consequence of the crisis- however, there were also those banks that managed to limit the losses and protect effectively their equity/ capital. This study will help to understand the effects of recession on the financial performance of US commercial banks using the figures included in these organizations’ financial statements. In other words, it will be an evidence – based study not just a critical analysis of the behavior of these firms since the beginning of the crisis. On the other hand, the level of resistance of US banks – as identified through this study – would be valuable in order to estimate the expected development of the US banking industry both in the short and the long term – the prospects for the development of US firms that operate in other industrial sectors could be also estimated using similar criteria. The study also identifies the framework of successful strategic decisions – referring to the banking industry – a fact that could further lead to the increase of this sector’s credibility.

Externally, as a medicinal agent DA can be synthesized in the presence of hydrogen bromide from demethylation of 2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)ethylamine. Following is the reaction: Importance of Dopamine Dopamine is one of the most important chemicals in the brain. For instance, the sleeping and waking up (Dzirasa et al. 10577-89) is determined by DA, it is known for goal-directed behaviors (Wise 1-12) and reward-learning (Schultz 199-207), and aids in the locomotion by means of the basal ganglia (Graybiel et al. 1826-1831). DA is also essential for cognitive processing. For instance, executive function as well as pre-frontal cortex activities, requires DA. Dopamine roles cannot be ignored in the synaptic plasticity such as the striatum and the pre-frontal cortex in brain regions (Best et al.) When there is a disturbance in the proper functioning of this neuro-modulator in different dopaminergic systems several disorders are known to occur. For example, a reduction in concentration of dopamine in the pre-frontal cortex area as well as in case of disinhibited striatal dopamine release, schizophrenia is known to occur. Parkinson is another disorder that is caused due to the loss of dopamine in the striatum that results in the loss of motor control.

Whiles staying with his uncle he, started working as a Shepherd and it is reported that later at the age of nine, he joined his uncle on a caravan to Syria. It was during this caravan trip that Mohammed developed a deep passion in the travel business, and as a young man, he worked as a camel driver on the route that connects Arabia to Syria. After gaining a deep understanding about the business, he set forth a career in managing caravans for other merchants. Goldschmidt and Lawrence (2005) argued that his engagement in this business enabled him to interact with people from different walks of life and religious beliefs. At the age of 25 years, Mohammed married his employer, Khadija who was a wealthy Meccan widow and 15 years older than he was. Goldschmidt and Lawrence (2005) in their writings stated that their marriage was happy and loving, and Mohammed did not even marry another wife despite Polygamy being a common practice during that particular time.During his late 30s, Mohammed developed a habit of visiting a cave in Mount Hira in order to gain seclusion and conduct prayers. However, demand will remain the same, and this situation leads to a higher equilibrium price and lower quantity. 2. The Nash equilibrium in this situation is the advertising strategy, from its definition, the Nash equilibrium is a collection of tactics, one for each player, such that each player’s strategy is best for him or her so long as all others are playing their equilibrium strategies (Walter Nicholson 224). Simply put, two people are in Nash equilibrium if one player makes the best choice- he or she can for himself or herself taking into account the other persons decision. Neither company can make a decision on how to go about their advertising strategy without taking into consideration what the other companies’ decision on advertisement strategy is. This resembles the prisoners’ dilemma theory, which is a two person, non-zero sum, non-cooperative game, where both players (prisoners) have no incentive to change their strategy unilaterally (Walter Nicholson 260). They both have to consider the other players strategy in order to make a favorable decision. Assignment - International Perspective on Environmental Health | Subjects: Environmental Studies - High school The populations with limited access on the healthcare system encounter difficulty in using the system leading to delay in cancer diagnosis, added costs, less efficient, and effective use of recommended therapies. The patient navigation programs provide support and guidance to people with the goal of improving access to the cancer care system and overcome barriers to quality care. This paper will present a conceptual model to evaluate cost-effectiveness of cancer patient navigation-programs, discuss challenges, and the best approach to address the challenges.Evaluating the economic impact of patient navigation has a wide array of activities that involves different settings while it suffers from inadequate of information. Different cost elements differ in the study perspective. Different researchers present interventions to determine the relevant cost measures that assess the economic value of patient navigation. The history of the patient navigation programs attributes to Harold Freeman the chair of American Cancer Society that commissioned the study of barrier to cancer among the poor in America. The success of the pioneer program and recognition of significant barriers to cancer diagnosis continue to exist among the minority and the underserved populations. Currently, many patient navigation programs work to reduce barriers to care at all levels. The growing popularity and publication of promising observational studies fail to evaluate the efficacy of navigator programs. Researchers are yet to establish the cost-effectiveness and the impact of navigation programs on cancer-related morbidity and survival. The patient navigator programs can be time and resource intensive. Similar to other interventions may improve the health of poor and underserved populations. One should view the navigation programs in the context of allocating resources to maximize health outcomes on limited budgets. It is important to

This is the feedback. This takes place constantly between the speaker and the listener, and there is interaction among them. The response of a speaker depends upon what he hears. The speech is a cause and the response is the effect. Hence, there is causality involved in reciprocity.A speech situation involves a speaker and a listener. “Reciprocity condition of speech refers to the relation between the speaker and the listener in the process of speech.” ( Bygate, 1987 ) Speech is a reciprocal activity. At this point, it is necessary to differentiate between speech and writing. The way language is organized in speech is different from the way it is organized in writing. In order to speak fluently, a speaker must have grammatical competency which includes knowledge of vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence structure and meaning. But speaking does not mean merely putting together words in a grammatical structure. The capacity to use language appropriately is called communicative competence. It is the knowledge that underlines the use of grammatical competence in communicative situations. Speech situation consists of various factors like topic, purpose, social relations, environment etc. These differ from culture to culture and community to community. In short, “speaking is not a discrete skill. It overlaps a number of other areas. Structure of conversation is culturally determined.” ( Hughes, R., 2002 )Now let us look closely at what happens when two people speak. The speaker has a message which he encodes and transmits to the listener through speech. The listener listens to the speech and decodes the message. The listener then responds in the same way, by transmitting a message. Hence, the speaker becomes the listener and vice versa. An individual takes turns at being a speaker and a listener alternately. This is called ‘turn taking’.In a speech event, the participants are face-to-face and the turn-taking is a continuous process. Hence, we see Essay - Deception in the investigative, interrogation, and testimonial processes | Subjects: Miscellaneous - College This research will begin with the definition of cooperative marketing as an advertising and promotional program whereby manufacturers or a distributor supports the marketing efforts of both businesses. It can also be used by multiple businesses looking to pool their resources to avoid being overburdened with costs for advertising and promotion. In addition, it is collaborative effort of two or more companies that come and work together in advertising and promotional efforts in order to reach a common goal. Cooperative marketing is ideal for Global gadgets imports. There are great values that come along with cooperative marketing. One of the great values that come along cooperative advertisement is that the cost of advertising will be greatly reduced. This happens when the partnering businesses come together and contribute towards the advertising and promotion of the product. This only happens when the businesses have the same interest. The cost will be cheaper in the end and in the short run for both businesses and the individual offices. The other great value that the businesses will derive is the benefit from a larger discount commonly known as trade discount. Another value of cooperative advertising is that the businesses will benefit from the risks involved. This will happen when businesses pool the risks and share them. This can happen when the distributing company tries to explain to its retailors the cause of a particular hitch resulting from the manufacturer.Essay - Transport issues in developed and developing cities | Subjects: Engineering and Construction - Masters

There is definitely harmony in using these colors are red which is the dress worn by the Madonna gave focus to the theme of the art work and blue is used as her drape which provides subdued hues to the red. The touch of green as a backdrop for the landscape is also harmonious as it gives balance to the color complimented by the light blue sky and white cloud. The cream color of the angels with touch of brown was very appropriate as a complementing color highlighting the harmonious relationship of the figures. The sense of space is depicted though fine lines and smaller figures which create the impression of a far location. The more prominent and bigger figures at the center clearly depict nearness and closer perspectives to the viewers of the art work. The actual texture of the art work appears basically smooth. The visual texture shows balance in lines, color, and spaces to give the perfect illustration of the Madonna in the meadow, with angels tending and giving her company. The visual weight and emphasis is carried by the Madonna as manifested in the color (red and blue) and size (biggest among the illustrations in the painting) with darker lines to create the space illusion that it is closer to the viewer than the rest of the landscapes, except for the angels which appear to be closest to the viewer of the painting. The artist expressed a symmetrically balanced work through the illustration of mountains on both the left and right side of the painting- the clouds also on the left and right side of the painting, the angels being two to provide symmetry, trees and shrubs on the left and rights side, and the focal point, which is the Madonna is strategically located at the center with her right

Muammar Gaddafi attempted to kill the movement by applying force. He had been ruling Libya for 42 years and the people of Libya were in a desperate need of change. The brutal retaliation by Gaddafi was met with a similar disposition. The use of fire to curb a public emotion was condemned all over the world. The death of Muammar Gaddafi served as a denouement for the whole scenario and proved to be an ultimate victory for the democracy-craving people of Libya. This is probably the biggest news of the year so far and the story was promptly covered by all the media. The print media, newspapers and magazines have limited capacity to cover a news story. They need to edit the news more than the broadcast media because they have limited space on paper and they need to put the most important material and refrain from redundancy. These days, it mostly happens that a news story is covered by the broadcast media earlier than the newspapers. When newspapers were the most dominant means of news, the major headline of a news story was, apart from espying, written in a manner that meant to give people news for the first time. These days, it is done by the broadcast media as it they are quicker. The newspapers now tend to make their headlines in a similar manner but add some more information to the news story that the people already know about in the sub-headings. The main features of impressionism as an art movement includes its emphasis on naturalistic landscape, subjective aspect of art, the topics of modern urban life and other commonplace subject matters, portrayal of light in its varying qualities, etc. Most essentially, this movement influenced and inspired trends in other areas such as sculpture, music, and literature. Specifically, impressionism influenced literature in various ways and helped in the growth of literature considerably. As Marlies Kronegger (1973) maintains, impressionism in literature built up its own style and techniques, although painting dominated all the other art forms during the period 1875-85. From the time it originated, it has been one of the prevailing literary styles existent in world literature today and the impressionist creations in various countries are derived from the same basic idea. (Kronegger, 33) Therefore, it is important to maintain that impressionism is one of the key literary terms today as it refers to the literary styles and techniques based on the general framework of impressionism as an art movement. This paper makes a comprehensive exploration of the term impressionism in order to define and explicate impressionism as an extremely valuable rhetorical tool in literature today.

One of the primary genetic causes of stroke has been shown to be CADASIL which tends to display a number of familial inheritance patterns in which the primary responsible gene has usually been identified. According to Bevan and Markus (1), CADASIL is usually seen to present with at least one of four given manifestations that include, cognitive deficit, Lacunar stroke and TIA, migraine with aura or even psychiatric disturbance in the form of a depression that is seen to precede the onset of an estimated 30% of stroke cases. CADASIL has been attributed to be primarily due to the occurrence of highly stereotyped mutations occurring in the Notch3 gene. These mutations that are seen to lead to CADASIL subsequently disrupt the highly conserved cysteine residue converting the number of these residues that normally stands at 6 to an odd number. This phenotype has been found to be variably present within certain given families.UK Website The Stroke.UK organization website is essentially a Stroke Association website that is developed to aid in the provision of support to the various stroke survivors. It is designed in such a manner that various professionals and charity group organizations are able to use it to provide support to stroke survivors so as to aid them in making the very best recovery that they possibly can. ge topic for many countries, especially the developing countries, it is with no doubts that the position that women hold in the society is greatly changing. In particular, the society has opened doors for women to conquer in vast areas while trying to support themselves and their families. Apart from taking care of their families, women now take part in businesses, leadership, and even the political arena. The capacity of a woman to decide whether to stay home with her family or to pursue a career is greatly impacted by what the society requires of them. It is with no doubt that a lot has changed since the earlier days when all decisions on money and careers were solely left for men. Today, educational opportunities are wide open for both sexes, and women are allowed to apply legally for practically any type of job. However, as much as women take up new and bigger roles in the society, they are still expected to take care of their families and homes. Generally, there is a notion that women are able to do it all. In essence, women are taught that they can be able maintain a home, raise a family, have a social life and manage their careers all alone. This results in a condition known as superwoman syndrome since it is theoretical impossible for a woman to do all this and still satisfy every aspect of her life. In fact, studies have shown that women who get help with child care and their housework are able to handle their work responsibilities more easily (Elliott, 47). By not delegating enough duties, women block their own path to career success as this makes their workload unmanageable. In this regard, women ought to choose where to put more emphasis between their families and their work. The society does play a great role in determining the kind of choices women make in terms of career and family duties. Human values and beliefs are based on what the society has put to be right and what it has displayed as wrong. Most of the society voices actually hinder women

Thermal energy could be generated from a wide array of boiler fuels, ranging from coal and firewood to diesel combustion. The main processes that utilize energy include those using thermal equipment like saponification, vacuum drying, mixing and plodding. In contrast, electric equipment constitutes air compressors, lighting system, and refrigeration plant, machines that handle material, boilers, electrical drives, and diesel generators, among others. Better understanding of energy consumption can be gained from consideration of the soap production processes individually (Wansbrough, 2013).The first process of significance is saponification. During this manufacturing phase, raw materials or fats are treated using thermal heat. The latter form of energy is usually in form of steam. Thermal treatment is conducted in presence of caustic soda, an alkali, resulting in formation of glycerin and soap. The thermal heat promotes reaction of raw fats with alkali forming grains of soap. Further boiling of the mixture with alkali makes it possible to create more soap grains. The resultant soap during this phase comprises of approximately 65% soap and 35% water, among other trace materials like salt and glycerin. The subsequent production stage involves soap washing. This is necessary to remove the excess glycerin and water presently in the soap mixture. The solution comprising of soap is poured into a column and lye is added at the top. When the latter flows down the column several rotating disks keep turning, effectively agitating the mixture. These disks are turned by electrical energy, and the resulting turbulence makes sure that the lye and soap solution are adequately mixed. Majority of these writers define Hinduism as the family of religions.Hindus belief that after a person is born, he or she should strive to obtain impersonal supreme in order to lead a righteous life. It is very difficult to define Hindu religion but the most accepted conception is that Hinduism is rooted in India where the holy books called the Veda were found. The belief system (dharma) of the Hindus is derived from the Vedas. Most Hindus believe in the existence of a supreme being whose character and forms are represented by many deities, which originate from him. In addition, they also believe that living consists of cycle of birth, death, and rebirth and finally administered by what they call the Karma. It is written in the Vedas that the soul goes through a cycle of subsequent lives and its coming incarnation is dependent on how a person lived his or her life while on earth (Knott 41-4).Hinduism belief in eternal life or atman, which they think dictate our existence as human beings. Majority of Hindus have developed different explanations of the self where they view it as eternal servant of God. The belief in the eternal self among the Hindus endorses the concept of reincarnation in the sense that the same self can inherit interim bodies. The concept of eternal self implies that self is a soul or a spiritual entity rather than a physical or material being. This makes Hindus emphasize on the significance of complete detachment from material things and encourages practices such as asceticism (Knott 70).Dharma in Hindu religion is very important since it dictates morality, virtue, and duty. Majority of Hindus have a conviction that dharma was revealed to them in the Vedas or the holy text. Through dharma, the society is held together in peace and harmony since it makes the sun to rise, the vegetations to grow, and makes us ethical or moral individuals. Acting morally does not imply precisely the same for everybody because different

In turn, the alienation of Holden remains to be his little stability’s source in his life. The second theme expressed in the book is the painful experiences during his growth. This analysis considers The Catcher in the Rye to be a roman novel on the growth of a young character into maturity. Even as this becomes an appropriate topic to discuss, the novel considers Holden Caulfield an unusual protagonist in the bildungsroman situation. This is because the central goal is resisting the procedure of articulating maturity by itself. While the thoughts of the Natural History Museum demonstrate this, Holden is in constant fear of change through an overwhelming complexity (Salinger 106). He longs to have a meaningful connection that he shared with Jane Gallagher, but intense fright makes him withdraw any efforts of contacting her. He is dependent on his alienation irrespective of the fact that it destroys him.He seeks to have everything easy to understandable through eternal fixation. This is similar to the status of Indians and Eskimos across the museum. He remains aloof with frightening as he has a guilty notion of the various sins that he criticizes others. It also appears because he cannot fully understand the entire thing surrounding him (Bloom 65). Alienation becomes a source of Holden’s problems and strength at the same time. For instance, his loneliness triggers him into dating Sally Hayes, but the need to remain isolated pushes him into insulting her and driving her awayHowever, he is in a refusal

In both incidents, the ingredients were found to have been imported from China (In Curtis, 2013).  In response to this, the Public Health Security through the Bioterrorism act directs the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to take additional measures to protect the public from all terrorist attacks on food supply and all other food related emergencies. FDA is the food regulatory agency of the department of Health and Human Services and has the mandate to receive prior notification of food that is imported, including animal feed, in the United States. As a consequence of the fact that medical personnel by and large are not able to participate in lethal injection protocols, there is a chance that the official who is administering the protocol will put the intravenous line into the muscle, as opposed to a vein, or the needle may become clogged. This would cause the inmate to experience extreme pain. For example, when James Autry was put to death in Texas in 1984, it took him 10 minutes to die, while he moved around and complained of pain. Moreover, because the technicians performing the protocol are inexperienced, it is sometimes difficult to find a good vein, and this is compounded when the inmate was an intravenous drug user. Such was the case with Steven Morin in Texas, who was a former heroin user, which caused the technician to have to stick Morin’s arms with needles 41 times.Crucially, lethal injection consists of three different procedures – the first is the anesthetic- the second induces paralysis- the third causes death. The first of these procedures that is the most important is the administering of the anesthetic, for this is what causes the procedure to be pain-free. If a medical personnel is not administering the anesthetic, then it stands to reason that the anesthetic might not be administered properly, which means that the prisoner may feel excruciating pain in dying. Konarias et al. sought protocol information from Texas and Virginia, as these two states constituted 45% of all death penalty cases carried out in the United States.

After the making of the front panel, we have given codes to each of the components of the front panel using graphical representations of functions in order to control the front panel objects. The block diagram helped us in giving graphical source codes to each component of the front panel. After giving the codes, we tested our programming and succeeded in getting the RPM and the voltage as expected. We made RPM control and target RPM in the front panel. We measured the RPM with the help of a box provided for the measurement of the RPM. Apart from the RPM measurement, we also plotted the waveform chart including amplitude and time. The device name, supply polarity, and the status are given at the top of the front panel, In order to plot the block diagram, we built a while loop in which everything was wired. The RPM control was connected to the target RPM with the help of wires whereas the waveform chart was wired with a combined signal. The combined signal was wired with the RPM measure and target RPM, and the RPM measured correctly. The w signal showed the loop condition in the while loop. A clean up code at the top of the block diagram, was wired to the while loop. At the same time, the device name and supply polarity were displayed at the left of the block diagram. In order to measure the RPM and voltage, we created a spreadsheet on MS Excel. A vertical line shown in the graph proved the direct relationship between the RPM and the voltage. In other words, when the voltage increases, the RPM also increases whereas when the voltage decreases, the RPM also decreases. To conclude, the purpose of this experiment was to control the DC motor speed and direction using NI ELVIS and Labview. After the completion of this experiment we were able to control both the DC motor speed and direction using NI ELVIS and

Essay - ART AND RENAISSSANCE HUMANISM | Subjects: History - College Indian culture in Americans popular culture and consumer products contains many positive elements. This includes bravely, wisdom, spiritualism, and closeness to nature. Such positive attributes are shared by both Americans and the Indians and thus any mascot formed around these attributes is accepted as a norm. Even if it may depict some form of stereotyping, it serves the purpose of unifying the two groups. Studies by Kim-Prieto, Goldstein, Okasaki, and Kirschner demonstrated that non-AI college students were more likely to show a heightened tendency to stereotype other racial minority groups than AI college students, Chaney, Burke, and Buckley.Historically, use of AI is given a higher meaning and trust. According to Florida States University (FSU) President, Wetherell states that “That they chose to go on record and formally reaffirm that they trust us to be good stewards of their name and traditions is humbling, we will continue to treat those traditions and Seminole with respect and honor” FSU. This was after Wetherell was invited for the very first time to the meeting of Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Tribal Council, the tribe's governing body. After scrutiny, it was found that besides the use of Seminole at FSU, there were other 30 AIs already in use in the campus. Wetherell allowed the use of Seminole and denoted that Florida Seminoles are unconquered, independent, and sovereign. Besides the use of Seminoles, other developments such as the use of logos and Seminole symbols for educational purposes followed.

Women were made to realize that they should not accept being inferior to men and exist only for men’s pleasure and convenience. They should nurture their self-worth and realize that they, too, have to meet their own need for validation as respectable human beings (Dicker & Piepmeier 32).All three waves of feminism share the goal of breaking down the sexist restraints of patriarchy, or male dominance, within society and encouraging equality among genders (Dicker & Piepmeier 35). One area this can be applied to is in heterosexual relationships. This dissertation shall analyze the book of prominent and controversial radio talk show host, Dr. Laura Schlessinger, entitled “Ten Stupid Things Women Do To Mess Up Their Lives”. It claims to be a book on empowering women in their relationships with men. It aims to teach vulnerable women who become subordinate to their men to be stronger and realize their self-worth. This self-help book guides them to stand up for their opinions and rights and eventually be viewed as admirable women worthy of respect. This essay shall first discuss the contents of the book, after which feminist responses to the book as well as to the philosophy Dr. Laura stands for shall be analyzed. Dr. Laura Schlessinger’s book emphasizes that women have control and need to know that they are equal to their male partners and should behave accordingly. The book analyzes why women fail miserably in their romantic liaisons, mostly due to the paradigm that men are superior to them. She makes women accountable for their own actions and decisions and responsible for the consequences of their choices, including tolerating some obnoxious male behaviors just to avoid loneliness, self-assertiveness and self-sufficiency.
