Artists have produced works of art that record their personal experience of war and illustrations on many aspects on war. When doing the artwork the artists are always concerned with presenting the work that shows how events occurred during the war. As they do this, the role of the artists is to embrace the cause of the war, the impacts of engaging in war and finally the education part of it. From the artwork, people are able to learn that war is not good. When looking at the work of art one might be attracted to its beauty although, not all art is intrinsically and classically beautiful. This is because of the materials, subject matter as well as the intention of the artist in that particular work of art. Sometimes the work of art provokes a deeper meaning than what is on the paintings (Hughes 76). This is true especially when artists present war events through art.World War II is a representation of a particular genre of art. From a research, it shows that WWII is more documented in art compared to the history of man. Throughout the war newsreels, radio report and commercial art remain as the main source of information to the public by informing them on how the war is progressing through comic books, posters, and newspaper cartoons. Through paintings and sketches, the com the people were able to get a glimpse to the action of the war. These sketches were crucial in the performance of war, and to understand the motivation behind the use of this work of art and the impact they create in the society it is important to divide the discussion into three parts. The first part to be discussed is the background of war art although it is also important to explore its definition. The discussion will also examine the combat art that was produced during World War II by the American artists (Davidson 78). It will also look at the personal experiences of the artists, which <strong>Essay - Globalisation to international business | Subjects: Miscellaneous - Masters</strong>Essay - Foundations to Caring | Subjects: Education - High school

The program also prepares students for improving their social behaviors that are needed to grow positively in the society. Here, an important point to mention is that a school counseling program is not just focused towards working with students, rather it works collaboratively with all stakeholders of the institute that include parents, teachers, students, and the community members. The purpose of engaging all stakeholders in the counseling program is to ensure that students prosper in an all-inclusive environment, which is extremely important for a student to reach his/her highest potential. The role of the school counselor is critical in improving academic and personal behaviors of the students. As Brown and Trusty (2005), “School counselors can use strategic interventions to improve academic achievement” (p. 1). A counselor is actually a guide or a leader who serves the needs of the students by taking in consideration their needs and demands and conveying them to the related authorities if necessary. It is the job of a counselor to listen to the concerns of students individually and in groups to identify their behavioral deficiencies and learning needs, as well as to help them improve their behaviors and achieve academic goals. A counselor listens to the students to get their viewpoints about the learning environment and tells them the ways to prosper in the environment in an appropriate manner. It is also the responsibility of a counselor to guide students in developing and maintain positive peer-to-peer and student-teacher relationships both of which are necessary for the students to show improved school performances. A counselor also works on improving the social attitudes and behaviors of students to help them become productive citizens. The phases of a school counseling program include planning, designing, implementing, Overall, attempts have been make investigators more ready, equipped, and well versed to different dynamics of their roles in the new world that is dynamic and unpredictable. As a result, investigator training has become a critical component in preparing the investigators for their paramount role and duty in society. However, given the scenario in modern environment, it can be noted that, the role played by investigators will continue to evolve and this particular aspect will greatly affect the level, nature, content, and context of training such investigators should have. Therefore, even as training of investigators remains critical and important, the question being asked is whether the training methodology should put more focus on the structure of an investigation or on the skills of the investigator. Subsequent discussions will try to examine and analyse the statement in a deeper understanding and conceptualization. Investigator Training Investigators have been found to be important professionals in the dispensation of numerous activities in new world (Chandler, 2009). This is so, given that, the modern world is characterized by myriad of issues and challenges.

One of the issues was identifying core component while carrying out the project (Dennison & Prevost, 2012). As such, the practitioners focus on the interventions that are critical to producing positive results such as taking a hundred children six to ten years to collect the data. The reason for including this age was that that the children between those ages are susceptible to germs and dirt. The second issue was the importance of the implementation of the project. Program implementation is crucial for the hand-washing project as the intended outcomes are important for health practitioners and the patients (Brown, 2011). As such, the data gathering should contain such questions as factors affecting the project, how the implementation should be carried out to obtain the best result among others. The third issue in the series using evidence to re-educate people about the development of a new invention. The use of evidence is important is important as it teaches the parties on how to address social behaviors (LoBiondo-Wood & In Haber, 2014)). As such, the team will educate the receptors and the society in general on the significance of hand washing and recommend the right soap to use to kill the microorganisms in the dirty hands.Identifying core component of the hand-washing project was crucial for the group as it was based on recognizing and processing on what makes the program work. Importance of the project is crucial, as the results of the project are important to both the health practitioners and the receptors (Goldesteen and Graham, 2011). To a larger extent, one also strives to achieve personal growth. Peters (2009) quotes Stephen Brookfield (1990) on the two purposes of a teaching philosophy: personal purpose and pedagogical purpose. At a personal level, a teaching philosophy serves as a vision to remain grounded on the reasons behind what one has chosen to pursue as a career. The pedagogical purpose, on the other hand, defines the difference that one is making in a student’s life and his/her learning.A number of educational theorists have influenced my own teaching philosophy. Prominent among them are Howard Gardner, John Dewey, Paolo Freiri, and Kurt Hahn. I believe that teaching and learning have transformative powers, and for changes to happen within and without, content must always interact with the context. I make a strong point of allowing students to “learn by doing” and continuously providing opportunities to create a link between theory and daily situations. Furthermore, I believe learning happens in a social context and pedagogy must be inclusive with special attention to the diverse population inside the classroom. Towards implementing this philosophy, it is essential to provide careful attention to classroom management and organization.“by providing our pupils with a system of well-defined rules, routines and sanctions you will be providing these youngsters with the security they need at this crucial stage of their lives, and in doing so, you will be providing a firm foundation for learning” (p. 19).I have adopted a less authoritative and more democratic system of establishing rules in the classroom. It stems from the desire to give students the right to feel safe, emotionally and physically, in the classroom. Furthermore, by involving the students in the process

Instead of closing out contracts with cash settlements, a common procedure on the commodities market, the Hunts took delivery on silver. They then stockpiled this silver and used their large cash reserves to buy up even more futures. The billions in demand triggered the rise of silver to more than $50 per ounce.” (Beattie, 2010)If speculation can have this much of an impact on the price of a fixed commodity – and the silver price plummeted when the Hunt brothers’ market corner was toppled – then the market cannot be totally reliable for an egalitarian distribution of resources. In this instance, a small minority with excess capital reserves could easily create massive market movements in price. It is the same with any commodity if a large capital interest takes hold in the sector and accumulates not from the need of supply, but based on speculation, then the aspects of banking and finance can come to determine even the price of coffee and tea.A free market based upon supply and demand and a free market fueled by speculation may not function in the same manner in determining market prices. If one reviews the ability of a group of brothers like the Hunts to move prices in silver, what could a nation-state, for example, accomplish if it were to try to monopolize a sector of commodities, or accumulate from a perception of scarcity. One example of this would be the Chinese State-owned and financed oil companies or loans being given to businesses by State-sponsored banks to buy commodities like copper, driving up the price.Q.2 - In free market economics, government interference and influence in the economy is rejected, in favor of the pure dynamics of supply and demand being determinant in driving prices, investment, capital flows, and other aspects of trade, manufacturing, and business activity. Prevention is better than cure. It is better to educate the teenagers before they start their binge drinking behaviour than treating them after they start their binge drinking habits. Hanson (2007) has mentioned that social norms marketing technique has repeatedly proven effective in reducing the use and abuse of alcohol among young people. “It’s based on the fact that the vast majority of youths tend to drink -- or drink more -- than they would otherwise, in an effort to “fit in” (Hanson, 2007). Youths have a habit of spreading false data about the quantity of alcohol consumed by them in order to get recognition among peers. They often treat youths who consume more alcohol as heroes. In order to eliminate such false beliefs, it is better to convey them messages through social norms marketing. Internet, teenager’s favourite television programs, print media etc can be utilized for conveying the messages against binge drinking to the teenagers. Awareness programs at school and college campuses to eliminate false beliefs and to spread the consequences of binge drinking might be effective up to certain extent. It is impossible to force a teenager to stop drinking- however, it is possible to convey the messages against binge drinking and to force them to think of the dangers associated with his bad habits.“Another technique that has repeatedly proven effective in reducing alcohol use and abuse is known as Brief Intervention, typically as part of Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students” (Hanson, 2007). And it has been observed that it is the contemporary media that is playing the most significant role in the development of this “global compassion” (Hoijer, 2004, p.513). This is so according to Hoijer (2004) because, “the media expose pictures of distant victims of civil wars, genocide, massacres and other violence against civil populations, and play a basic role in giving publicity to human suffering” (p.513). But the question is how this media exposure of “distant suffering” impacts people’s minds and it is in this context that Hoijer (2004) had set out searching an answer to “how do people react to the emotional engagement that media offers by focusing on innocent victims of political conflicts, war and other violence?” (p.513). Answer that he (Hoijer, 2004) has arrived at, describes the development of a “global discourse of compassion”, having positive humanitarian consequences as well as inherent complexities and paradoxes (p.27). According to Hoijer (2004), the first stage of the process of development of “global compassion” is the “images of distant suffering” getting assimilated into “ordinary citizens’ perceptions of conflicts and crises in the world” (p.514). An example for this is cited by Hoijer (2004) when he pointed to the television visuals of people “queuing for bread in Sarajevo” getting shelled and killed, which led to the UN imposing sanctions against Serbia (p.514). There are those however, who were “not ready to let go” of their children altogether (Kloep and Hendry 826).Results from the study revealed that although most parents were happy watching their children grow up, they were not very happy watching them leave them. Others were happy and relieved to watch their children grow into maturity and become independent. Different characteristics of these parents showed their readiness to let go of their children. Some had in depth attachment with the children, such that they found it hard to watch them leave. From the results, it was evident that the level of parents’ love and openness with their children affected their willingness of letting go.According to Kloep and Hendry (829), parents who were happy to let go of their children were either working or living away from their children, or their children were university students and thus spent little time toge. They vary from interactions between family members and trustworthiness among friends to the terror war and social glitches of the epoch (Hosseini, 7).This hints me to another phase that kept me so fascinated with this novel. I learned many new things about the past and ethos of Afghanistan and its people. It was amazing to learn about the difficulties Afghans encountered during the time the Russians had control of the area. It was surprising to see the variance in social class centred on the race or diverse divisions of Islam. I knew that Sunni and Shi’a had problems but I did not know to what extent. It was fascinating to learn that Sunni and Shi’a had difficulties but I did not know to what level. Every character has his/her own division and significance, which keeps the reader amused. When these divisions are organised, it makes the novel to be interesting. I have to say that my preferred portions were the sections that show the situations of war during the Taliban control. Many of the actions are filled with suspense. The parts with action in the novel made me not to stop reading it. This novel is really a page-turner and I endorse it highly to all readers in high school

As a supervisor, this information is valuable. For example, an employee who comes from a country where the power distance is large may find it difficult to approach their supervisor or to disagree with a supervisor. There is simply no other method for downsizing apart from dismissal. It involves ordering or allowing someone to leave. The best approach is voluntary resignation with exit incentives. Monshipouri and Zolty differentiate the new world order from the old world order, using the language of democracy as one of their criteria. They say that the new world order is more democratic than the old world order, because it focuses on “collective security” based on “mutual interests” (552). One of the main goals of the new world order is to promote democracy and human rights, which contrasted the old world order's promotion of stability and security (Monshipouri and Zolty 552). The outer shrine located at Ise is dedicated to the goddess Toyouke Omikami (Tate, p.227). Goddess Toyouke Omikami is considerd to be the goddess for agriculture and is believed to provide food for the Amaterasu ((Tate, p.227). Ise shrine is probably the holiest and the oldest of all Shinto shrines in Japan. Establishment of the holy shrine According to the verses in classical Japanese history Nihon Shoki, about 2,000 years ago, the spiritual Yamatohime-no-mikoto who was the daughter of Emperor Suinin (Fredrik, 2005, p.1046) had started her journey from Mt. Miwa for searching a permanent location where she could worship the goddess Amaterasu- omikami. The emperor’s daughter wandered for around 20 years in the areas of Ohmi along with Mino. Yamatohime-no-mikoto eventually reached the location of Ise situated in modern day Mie Prefecture. The divine figure was believed to have heard the voice of the goddess Amaterasu- omikami. She decided to establish the shrine of Naiku there after hearing the voice. The worship f the shrine is to be performed by a female member belonging to the Japanese imperial family only (Demerath & Beckford, p.703). Economic relevance of the shrine Ise shrine in Japan is a very popular tourist destination. It is a well known destination for pilgrims (Suzuki). This paper will examine the novel The Help, connecting its themes and events to those of the civil rights movement and other relevant issues. The Help offers insight into the provocative subject of racial, gender and class segregation during the civil rights movement era. Stockett’s novel is an intriguing novel that examines the lives of black maids during the civil rights movement in the early 1960s. Stockett shows the relationship between African Americans and the whites as a complex continuum of abuse, mistrust, hate, dependence, attachment and shockingly, love. Notably, Stockett wittingly portrays this array of emotions in a humorous and agile manner. However, her expression at the end of the novel shows that portraying these mixed emotions was not an easy feat. In a personal excerpt at the novel’s conclusion, Stockett notes that there is no trickier subject for a Southern writer than that of love between a white and a black person within the imbalanced world of segregation. Nonetheless, Stockett portrays these emotions with equal degrees of seriousness and humor. However, the absence of reference to one of the most critical mass struggles of the South gives a sense of inaccuracy with regard to the novel. The mass struggle in this case refers to that which shattered the Jim Crow structure in the South during the civil rights movement. This paper declares that cognition of every child tends to be different from another. This means that the level at what one child tends to perceive will be quite different from another child having the same age and circumstances. This merely means that the capability of each individual is different from another. Therefore comparing cognition f one child to another is practically useless as that would only undermine confidence. The only way to overcome this problem is that one needs to critically evaluate the child's way of learning, capabilities and social interaction and then device a way to deal and nurture the cognition in accordance with the child's pace of development. This essay makes a conclusion that cognition is an essential feature of a child's development. It gives a child the capability to understand the world that surrounds him, develop his perception about various things and finally build up his stance on the things. Cognition is a major area of concern which at times is neglected especially when it comes to the lower class as they usually do not spend much time and the required attention on the cognition of their child in the early years which causes them to suffer eventually. Cognitive development in early years of education is also essential because during early childhood a child is developing various concepts which he implements and executes throughout his life if at this point his concepts are clear and has a targeted sort of thinking therefore then many problems can be countered which a child having weak cognition might suffer from.

Theories must be substantiated. Claims must be empirically verified. Outcomes must be predicted according to the available evidence. The influence of this latter tendency on modern society has long since left the lofty realm of academia and entered into the popular imagination. Everything is knowable, most especially in matters of a political nature. In this same popular imagination, politicians and leaders are expected to make informed and rational decisions prior to taking action. If those actions lead to disastrous results (of any kind: social, political, economical etc.) they are often investigated as to the poor decisions which brought them about. Hardly ever would a politician attribute his/her failure to “chance” or “randomness.” This would appear weak and indecisive. This general area of discussion finds a most appropriate expression in the case of America’s invasion and ongoing occupation of Iraq. As students we are as interested, frustrated, and connected to the war in Iraq as anyone else. Since Barack Obama was elected president, the question of an American withdrawal from Iraq has become a pressing and even urgent one for many of those voters who put him into office. The ultimate decision will neither be easy nor simple. A time table is a tricky thing to set for troop withdrawal from Iraq, because of unforeseen and external forces. In his renowned scholarly article entitled “The Unanticipated Consequences of Purposive Social Action”, the sociologist Robert Merton seeks to demonstrate that a given social or political decision and ensuing action by an elected leader can often end in not only a failure to yield the desired outcome but can also result in an outcome which is antithetical the original goal(s). Merton contextualizes this claim as one which has been expressed by various thinkers in a wide array of disciplines throughout history.

Essay - Short Informal Report | Subjects: Marketing - Masters the challenge it can provide for securing an environment, The User Domain, one of seven domains in an IT infrastructure, is considered to be the domain most at risk for attack and compromise, primarily due to the inherent weakness of the human interaction element. There are several types of attacks on the User Domain that are prevalent, as they can be quite successful against an uninformed or untrained employee. Unnecessary access to User Domains can allow segmentation of various groups peeking into confidential data. Imagine a scenario in which the sales department can look up salaries in HR. This is an unsafe practice and can be mitigated by giving each department its own VLAN. Tipton (2005) Before studying User Doman, it is crucial to understand the essence of user domain. The whole focal point of User Domain is to ensure that segregation of duties is conducted in computer’s main frame. Before attempting to observe the issue, it is essential to understand the focal point of user domain itself. In essence, user domain is defined as set of objects that allow a user to have controls and permissions. In essence, user domains can overlap. Tipton (2005) Another element of user domains is the fact that is allows users to possess segregation of duties. Segregation of duties allows users to have separate domains and grant permissions. User domains can range from simple user access accounts or it can be a specific domain such as sales, marketing, and managers. In the computing world, the weakest link in user domain is a user that has the least privilege. In essence, the weakest link is based on a hierarchy model in security policies and implementation issues. The weakest link can also be a possible vulnerability that can be exploited.A huge flaw in providing securities even with one’s own organization is outside threats. Essay - Test | Subjects: Miscellaneous - Undergraduate This should be done to the patient so that the unresponding patient can be revived from the coma state. The cause of unresponsive state of the patient is mainly caused by the low blood supply in the body of the individual which is insufficient to reach to the brain and to the heart thereby causing the individual to be unresponsive or otherwise faint. Throughout the study, some practices should not be done to the patient for example slapping the patient , giving of drink and food to the patient who is unresponsive should not be done among others will lead to other complications. When a patient is not responding or unconsciousness, it is impossible for one to talk or do any activity and this is commonly known to be a coma state or in other word comatose state. It is important for one to be aware of do’s and don’ts concerning the patient either a grown up or a child. Other patients have changes in awareness where they do not become unconscious where their mind is altered thus being termed as altered mental status or changed mental status. The patient becomes confused leading to yelling, production of foam from the mouth among others. The change of mental status should be treated as a medical emergency since it is a condition that can lead to death in a quicker manner (Cooke, 2009). In other times the patient may be awake but less alert where if asked questions like their name may lead to inability to answer the questions which indicate a change in the mental status. When a asleep, the patient can respond to noise and other disturbances like shaking of their head or hands thus leading to waking up but in the case of an individual who is not responding or otherwise who is in unconscious mood the individual will not cough or clear his or her throat. This condition can lead to death if care and other medical attention are not conducted quickly since in most cases the patient airway may be blocked thus leading to instant death if first aid is not

This philosophical thought has been applied for instance in the mind-body relation to claim that a human being is a physical system with the central nervous system and brain without a mind or soul (Crumley 5). For instance, physicalists postulate that the mind or soul is not an immaterial substance but occurs in physical form that is consisted of cells at one level which can be broken down further into atoms at their smallest level. This makes the mind and the brain to be same substance in an outlay where the mind is a consequence of neural connections. This positioning of the mind and the brain based on the assumptions make in physicalism means that damage to the brain translates to the same damage in the mind. This is true for example in the case of the brain which contains multiple elongated cells referred to as neurons whose function is to carry specific impulses. Contacts between neurons take place through points of contact named synapses. A specific neuron in the human nervous system is the C-fibers whose function is to supply the skin with nerves and transmit pain impulses. According to Physicalist, when a person experiences an occasion of pain or occurrence of a thought these are believed to be physical events related to C-fibers transmitting or certain electrical and chemical events taking place in the brain and central nervous system (Crumley 64).Apart from the assumption that the mind and brain are the same, another condition of physicalism is based on the belief that the physical world is causally closed. The thesis of causal closure fundamentally argues that any physical event must equally have a physical cause. This assumption by the Physicalists means that for every occurrence in world, there must be an explanation on the basis of causal interactions occurring at the physical level. Therefore, this worldview is
