In his description, Marcellinus admired the fighting skills of the Huns. He reports that in battle, he admired the way the Huns advanced in packs and uttered their various war cries. Furthermore, being that they were lightly equipped and moved very fast, they could also easily scatter and gallop about at random thus causing terrific slaughters. He also admired the way they carried themselves when faced with weighty matters. He says that, when any deliberation was to take place on any weighty issue, the Huns held their common council on horseback. He argues that although the Huns were not ruled by a king, they were satisfied with the irregular government of their nobles and under their leadership they were able to overcome their problems. Marcellinus also admired the Huns because they were hardy. They neither needed fire nor well flavored food but lived on herbs and half raw flesh of any animal. They also never sheltered themselves and wore clothes made of linen and skin of field-mice (Marcellinus, pp3-6).Although Marcellinus admired the Huns in some areas, he disliked some of their behaviors. He argues that the Huns were very dirty people and once they had put their necks on some dingy shirt they would never take it off until it rot and fell to pieces from incessant wear. Assignment - Electric Cooperatives: ipower the Future | Subjects: Family & Consumer Science - UndergraduateMovie Review - Cross Culture Management | Subjects: Sociology - Undergraduate

The hybridization in art can, far from being damaging to either society, allow each of them to deal with the consequences of contact with a new culture, critique the interaction occurring between the two peoples in a way that would not be possible if not for such hybridization. One of the most common critiques of hybridization is that it comes from a negative place – a place of appropriation in which one society seeks to make another society subservient to its own by taking what makes them culturally distinctive and integrating it into the dominant society. This is especially true when societies regard each other as “others” and this “otherness” is one of the main reasons for interest between societies, as was certainly the case in Japan during the era when hybridization of art began (Meech 27). This brings up understandable concerns about issues of colonization, appropriation, and cultural destruction – all things that should be avoided. However, avoiding these things does not necessarily mean avoiding hybridization. Many works owe formal debts to other works despite the fact that they are incredibly original and do many good things to the world of art. The recent measurements are directly collected. It takes a lot of time and resources (financial and otherwise) to collect the data, the data is not always very accurate and hence a lot of approximation is used, high technology equipment are required, shipment challenges of the equipment as well as health and safety risks of the scientists.Technology has made it possible to obtain indirect data and infer the results dating back thousands of years. It has also made it possible to store samples for future scientific analysis and historical

On the other hand, informed consent informs the performance of ethical research by ensuring that all research subjects are well conscious of what they are getting drawn into. It is crucial for all researchers to remain committed to superior levels of professional conduct, which encompass ethically acceptable research behaviours. The purpose of this paper is to examine Scenario A, identifying and discussing the ethical dilemmas presented in a comprehensive manner. All health-related research projects, involving human subjects call for the assessment of potential risks to the subjects. Researchers have an explicit responsibility to guarantee the integrity of their studies, especially when human subjects are involved. As a consequence, institutions require researchers to uphold the organizations’ good name, as well as the vocation to which they belong. Institutions typically require researchers to observe legal, professional and ethical duties in all aspects of research (List 2008, p. 672). The purpose of ethics approval is, therefore, to guarantee that all research endeavours comply with the established guidelines, including the proper conduct of human and animal research. This means that researchers should only engage in research that adhere to accepted ethical standards, which the researchers are able to perform.

Let’s start with examining IT factor. Changing IT applications to support two prices will be expensive. It will help us to evaluate these expenses differently if we can view costs related to changing IT application as investments into securing higher incomes in the future (Wickham P. & Wickham L., 2008), as opposite to viewing these costs as simply expenses. Maintaining loyalty program can be the key issue in making profit in a case with newly acquired chain and “provides cost advantage in comparison with competitors” (Wickham P. & Wickham L., 2008). In people with celiac disease, eating certain types of grain-based products sets off an immune mediated response that causes measurable damage to the small intestine. This, in turn, interferes with the small intestine’s ability to absorb nutrients in food, leading to malnutrition and a variety of other complications. The offending amino acid sequences are collectively called “gluten” and are found in wheat, barley, rye, and to a lesser extent, oats (WBRO). Related proteins are found in triticale, spell. Refer to the grains and flours glossary for a more extensive classification of grains. Celiac disease is a good research pathological condition and this has led to making it known as “the best-understood human “autoimmune” disorder.” Research studies have shed light on the fact that one percent of the people in countries including Europe, South America, and the United States have undiagnosed celiac disease. Following are some issues, which are especially related to recruiting the artists faced by Cirque: Increasing no. of artists Initially, Cirque required around 50 artists every year and their casting staff had to travel only those areas where they believe that their required artists will be sought out. In the recent years, as the number of shows started to increase as well as the increase in artist turnover at Cirque, the casting staff now currently has to recruit at least 100 artists in a year. In order to address this issue, Cirque spread out the auditions in around 20 countries across the globe. However, the cast division of Cirque found themselves out in a burnt out situation due to so much travelling. They have started feeling monotonic in conducting auditions, which may cause leaving out some potential artists from recruitment process because casters are not fresh enough to concentrate. Child Artists Another important concern for Cirque regarding the recruitment of artists is the inclusion of child artists in their artistic portfolio. Generally, the kids who live at the streets pose a problem for Cirque because of their growing up problems. For this issue, Cirque concentrated especially on recruiting those children who are supported and guarded by their parents. Essay - conduct testing in a prison | Subjects: Psychology - Masters

Most of their histories were locked up in small museums in the Western World itself. Something of the same kind is going on today in countries like India, Iran and Iraq. The cinema that emerged in Africa was not just movies made out of passion but was culturally a strong factor to bring the entire history of Africa under one roof.in fact, Frantz Fanon’s work, On National Consciousness, includes the work a poem called ‘African Dawn’, that was later made into a film called ‘Camp D’Thiarove’, by Ousmane Sembe`ne. Then came ‘The Battle of Algiers’, which was made in 1965 which was a highly influential movie by an Italian Director, Gillo Pontecorvo, This was basically a movie about the Algerians who fought against the French in the attempt to break away from the Colonial Yolk in the 1950’s to 1962. African Movies were at the time influenced by both Colonialism and Neo-Colonialism since almost all art forms including Poetry, Paintings, Art Works and Songs were influenced by the indigenous culture. For once, art was influenced by the nationalistic spirit and it real function instead of mere western aesthetics. The cinema in Africa was known to be ‘militant fighting cinema’, and worked in opposing the dominant imperialistic rule. The Cinema in Africa represents largely the definition of ‘Towards Third Cinema’, they represent their distinct style and form in almost all their works.

Essay - conduct testing in a prison | Subjects: Psychology - Masters At times, whistle blowing is an approach that helps in enhancing service provision. For instance, in nursing organizations, the elderly are mistreated, since they do not have complications that are solved through medication. Since the nurses have to engage the elderly with profound care and maintenance, they feel that they spend a lot of time with the elderly than other patients. Similarly, they have to attend to the senior citizens with patience and humility. As a result, the elderly are neglected, with little attention being given. In many situations, the elderly are not in a position to expound on their predicaments, since they fear adverse conditions. Whistle blowing in the nursing unit instigated a solution to the problem, since the situation was escalating (Kelly, 2010). The staff had to respond to the call, as stringent measures would be taken to the perpetrators. In fact, the whistle blowing incident was appropriate, as it instilled decorum in the nursing profession. Therefore, the whistle blowing was timely, as it ensured the senior citizens are treated with care and love, irrespective of their age and situation.Previously, malpractice has occasionally been cited, due to limited education and experience. For instance, surgeons have to be experienced and well educated to start practicing in the profession. However, when the surgeons do not have the required knowledge and skills, they may be prone to mistakes in ensuring the services provided in the profession are of high quality.

Introduction The problem being dealt with in the study is examination of the application of Cobalt-Chromium alloy and how suitable it is as a metal alloy in the production of orthopaedic implants like hip and knee replacements. It is important because the use of metal has been exclusively done when it comes to the manufacture of these implants. Many researches were carried out on suitability of alloys in implants but the need to control wear and corrosion resistance and thus extend the life of these implants did not receive the needed attention, yet it is extremely vital in the orthopaedic implants. Other materials have been tested in the years with the view of establishing their effectiveness in the replacement for bones. Metallic alloys are extensively used and this is attributed to their availability and success in implants. The alloys are derived from metals such as iron, cobalt, chromium, titanium, and tantalum. Clinical tests have proven the viability of using these metals in the manufacture of orthopaedic implants which are left in vivo for quite a long time. Being a metal alloy made out of cobalt and chromium, Cobalt-Chrome is commonly used in orthopaedic implants and has the ability to withstand different porous forms, which allow for biologic fixations in growth.

In addition, due to these positive and negative effects of self-talk on athletes performance, a lot of investigation and critical interest has been shown towards the topic of self-talk by various researchers over the last years (Yang, and Mengze 357). Indeed, self-talk may defined simply as an internal dialogue where an individual interprets his or her feelings and perceptions in order to regulate, evaluate and then choose the best strategy to use in motivating and reinforcing himself or herself. Besides, most scholars have argued that self-talk has various physiological and psychological effects on athletes’ performances that usually result into positive performance. Therefore, this paper is going to discuss and analyze the importance and various effects of athletic self-talk, specifically on the rhetorical appeals and patterns of logical argument in which this athletic self-talk mostly relies on (Tovares 273). To begin with, self-talk can be either negative or positive- thus, it is important that athletes should try to mentally train their minds in order to gain self-talk skills that will motivate them to have more improved performance (Newman 4).

The airline deregulation provides significant benefits to an average traveler. This Act removed many of the airline restrictions and thus totally altered the concept of civil aviation in the US. Subsequent to the integration of jets into the market, the air travel industry experienced incredible growth rate. As a result of steady increase in air travel, the federal regulators were forced to deregulate the industry to meet the increasing needs of the air travelers. The airline deregulation process augmented market competition once the marketers got the freedom to determine their own prices. It also persuaded the airline providers to enter in price competition in order to dominate the air travel market. Reports point out the notable effects of deregulation- “the inflation adjusted 1982 constant dollar yield for airlines has fallen from 12.3 cents in 1978 to 7.9 cents in 1997. This means that airline ticket prices are almost 40% lower today than they were in 1978 when the airlines were deregulated” (Thierer, 1998). Since this trend offered fruitful economic benefits to passengers, the passenger miles flown tremendously grew. For instance, in 2005, there were 750 million passenger miles whereas this figure was only 250 million in 1978. The magnitude of market competition was more in Europe as compared to US.

The two each show how life can change through the perspective of a journey undertaken. The two works however present a common feature in depicting the journey as full hurdles, hardships and the unexpected. A journey means different things to different people. To some people the various aspects of the journey are not included, and to them the journey is only distance travelled. The focus on the destination has many a time caused many people not to take into account the value of the other aspects of the journey. The hurdles and difficulties, the excitement and happiness all form elemental parts of the journey and influence a person’s outlook, fortune and character for a long time (Clugstone, 2010).OverviewWelty and Frost both put forth their divergent perspectives by the use of different themes of the journey in their work. In the poem “The Road Not Taken,” Frost masterly makes a depiction of how choice at the present has a huge impact in future. The poem puts forth the inevitability of decision making in life (Sarcone & Welty 1998). Decisions can either be made according to the regular way of doing things or through the adoption of novel ways. According to Frost the journeyman must at one time reach a point in which the road branches which means he has to opt for one as he cannot take both. The decision to opt for one path is irreversible and irretraceable and this will affect the final destination and hence the choice has to be weighed carefully. The knowledge and the motivation to avenge his father’s death come from a ghost. The ghost has served has an intriguing dramatic device in the play. A dramatic device is an element of the play that helps build the story and affect the reactions of the audience and the delivery of dialogues and the character of the leading figures in the play.At the time Shakespeare wrote this play, ghosts were used in plays and stories commonly. Ghosts were often used to haunt the characters, or to be harbinger of omens. In the Elizabethan era, ghosts were in fact regarded by audience with a positive response and increased the appeal of the play. Using a ghost in the play as a dramatic device helped accrue the appeal of the play since people at that time were looking for such entertainment. A play is dramatic if it involves its audience. Shakespeare’s use of the ghost in the play elicits feelings of fear and dread in the spectator. It serves to perform many functions in the play, contributing to the overall impact of the tragedy. There were superstitions and fear rife in the Elizabethan audience about death and what follows later on. Their fears and apprehension has been used by Shakespeare to build a plot that influences the audience considerably- the plot feeds upon the perceptions of the people on purgatory and afterlife and assists in involving the audience in to the play. At the time the play was construed by Shakespeare, although there were many Protestants, there were people who did not belief upon the existence of ghosts and any afterlife. In the play, Shakespeare does not give any indication if the ghost was from hell or from purgatory. This leaves the audience ambiguous about the fate of Hamlet and how his actions were placed in the afterlife: that is, if he was condemned to hell or his given redemption for killing his uncle. The lack on knowledge on this matter leaves the audience embroiled in

Essay - Roman Catholic Communion | Subjects: Religion and Theology - Undergraduate In contrast to popular belief, the Congress and presidents have always been at loggerheads. This is because on numerous occasions the Senate, House of Representatives are controlled by different parties. Over the years, the Democrats have had a considerable advantage over the Republic with regards to this control. The above section clearly shows there are serious issues relating to the balance of power between the Congress and the Office of the President. There should be a clear definition of duties to minimize conflicts between the president and the congress (Denhardt et al., 2013). Secondly, they should meet on a regular basis to ensure that they are on the same page with regards to public policy as well legislation. Thirdly, there should be effective communication between the two parties to minimize conflict. Finally, the parties should work towards achieving the greatest benefits for the citizens. The above mentioned strategies can be employed to solve the issues relating to the balance of power (Heady, 2001). To start with, the clear definition of duties means that each of the parties will perform the tasks that they are required to with minimal conflict. Secondly, the regular meetings ensure that the two parties compare their duties and activities on a regular basis. Thirdly, effective communication ensures that any issues are dealt with on a timely basis (Schickler, 2001). Finally, when both parties work for the greatest benefit of the people there will be fewer conflicts since both work towards achieving similar goals. This entails the composition of the congress based on the political party membership. In the 113th parliament, between 2013 and 2015, there were a total of 100 members in the senate.
