Cultural leaders are more rooted in the society in which they operate and try to adapt fast to changes so that no kind of biasness is resulted because of cultural change. Such an aspect can be well depicted in this hypothetical situation where an individual from Pakistan is appointed as a leader in an organization in USA.There are certain distinct cultural behaviors as per the Hofstede’s model of cultural dimension that separates Pakistan from that of other countries across the globe. Firstly the power distance aspect of the model cannot be well stated as to what extent it affects the cultural behavior. Individualism aspect of the model states that the people of Pakistan follow more of collectivism that is they prefer to work together with their team (Hofstede, 2003). This aspect even highlights that people of this country possess a great amount of loyalty towards their community or any other organization they become a part. The cultural behavior is such that the relationship between the employer and employee consists of emotional and moral bonds. As per the uncertainty avoidance aspect of the model the culture of Pakistan is such that it encompasses high uncertainty avoidance. This states that people are more inclined towards following rules, avoids any form of innovations, prefers security, like to keep themselves busy at work and are very much punctual (Halverson, 2008). These factors of the model state that the cultural aspect of being hard working, preferring more of team work, being punctual, following rules, building strong bonds with other employees and being loyal towards the organization would facilitate as a leader to work well and more effectively in the new organization in USA.The Hofstede’s model of cultural dimension states there are certain characteristics of cultural dimensions of people in Pakistan that can disrupt the

This is to clearly bring the effect of the sunrise.Impressionist majorly used asymmetrical balance in their paintings. This majorly helped them capture a good judgment on immediacy. They made their paintings in such a manner that one item visually balanced another item perfectly (Martin& Jacobus, 2011). Symmetry has been effectively used in Edouard Manet’s painting, ‘A Bar at the Folies-Bergere'. It features in few images in the painting. For example, the woman at the counter. The effect puts the lady and her job as the major aim of the painting as other objects have not been clearly brought out. Asymmetry has been effectively used in Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s painting, ‘Luncheon of the Boating Party’. He focuses more on the people at the table but still visibly shows that the boat had a number of people.

When the interest rate parity is covered, the interest rates and the forward exchange rate between two countries will be in equilibrium. This means that in such equilibrium, each unit return of home currency will be equal to the foreign currency. Thus, the covered interest rate parity states that the forward premium and the interest rate between two countries are equal and there will be no opportunity for arbitrage (Wang, 2009, pp.49-56). (Source: Dollery, University of Hull) The application of covered interest parity is that when it holds true, an investor will be indifferent of investment choice between two countries. For instance, if a French investor has the choice of either to invest or deposit in € or $ then under CIRP, the investor will get same return irrespective of choice of currency. This is because in equilibrium the future value of investment or deposit will be same for both the currencies (Johann, 2008, p.10).

As one moves upwards on the pyramid he or she has to be satisfied with the needs at the bottom. The pyramid has five divisions starting with psychological or basic needs as discussed above, followed by safety needs, social needs, esteem needs and self-actualization or growth needs respectively. As stated above, one has to fulfill the lower level on the pyramid to reach the next highest level. If one fails to accomplish the lower level he or she has to go back, in addition, the unsatisfied need of the lower level would make the needs at the upper level irrelevant and the person would not see them. The person reaching the highest level will have a different personality as compared to the person at the lower level. Individuals at the highest level of the pyramid are usually hardworking, bright and consider themselves better than those in the lower level. A person at this level will discover what he or she is actually is in the society and wants to research more. In addition, they are morally strong and consider moral standards that would make them relate with people in the society hence achieving this level (Seaward 2011). People would have different personalities in relation to the experiences they have had in life since when they are born. Essay - a Manifesto | Subjects: Philosophy - Ph.D. There are several drugs that are categorized as substance abuse such as cocaine, amphetamines, nicotine, sedatives, opioids etc. Drug abuse and its addiction is chronic disorder that affects one’s cognition and leads to impulsive drug seeking having negative impacts on mental health. Drug abuse leads to sever changes in brain’s functioning and its structure which also causes behavioral changes that may affect quality of life and social support. Drug abuse further causes disruption in user’s self-control and ability of making rationale decisions. Where it is difficult to identify what causes drug abuse, there are evidences available that indicate risks of relapse which further distorts user’s self-perception. There are also several risk factors that increase the risk of drug abuse such as genes, socio-economic status, personal history and adverse living conditions. In order to identify how drugs alter user’s behavior, it is important to understand how brain functions after induction of drugs into human body. Various studies have shown that once entered into human brain, it imitates natural transmitters. These transmitters are produced by brain and replacing actual transmitters sends irregular messages to the whole body resulting in disturbed behavior. In addition to that drugs abuse excessively sensitizes brain’s reward system that creates feeling of pleasure and satisfaction after use of drugs. Due to continued use, the brain adapts and reduces reception for reward system which increases user’s tolerance level. Therefore, higher amount of dose is required in order to create same amount of pleasure. Further behavioral consequences of drug abuse are discussed below:

This is regardless on the time when the cash is actually received. In a sale proceed, the revenue is recognized when the ownership of a good or a commodity has been transferred to the buyer together with the associated risks. The amount of the proceeds has to be reliably measurable in terms of revenue. Similarly, the costs associated with the transaction should also be measurable in a reliable way. Finally, there has to be a probability that the economic benefits related to the transaction will flow or will be realised by the organization. The same criteria apply for services rendered. In case of dividends, the revenue should be recognized once the right for payment has been established (IFRS, Pg. 2). In accounting, it is important to distinguish between the terms income, revenue and gains since it will facilitate accurate and clear preparation of the financial statement (Agtarap-San, Pg. 5). Income is defined as the savings opportunity that a business entity gains within a given time and it is measured in monetary terms (Weitzman, Pg. 2). Revenue on the other hand is the income that a business entity realises from its usual operations such as the sale of goods and services (ACCA, Para 5). Finally, gains refer to the increase in shareholder’s equity as a result of a transaction other than the daily operations. A discussion on the temporary service changes or modifications that might be necessary after disaster recovery is also important.Disaster is unpredictable. Even the most prepared businesses or organizations are prone to the adverse effects of disasters. In case of disasters, various agencies aid small businesses in disaster recovery. Such agencies include U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Farm Services Agency (FSA), Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), and other state agencies (Haddow, Bullock, & Coppola, 2011). The Federal Emergency Management Agency aids small businesses in disaster recovery through the provision of food, rescue services, water, housing, electrical power, and other basic resources (Federal Emergency Management Agency, 2015). Indeed, FEMA provides temporary housing for small businesses like the gymnasium for a limited period. The agency also offers financial support to repair the damages caused by the disaster on small businesses not covered by the insurance (Wells Fargo Bank, 2013). FEMA also replaces destroyed buildings if such buildings were not under any insurance cover (Federal Emergency Management Agency, 2015). The agency can also provide direct assistance to support a permanent or semi-permanent construction of businesses affected by disasters (Wells Fargo Bank, 2013). Ultimately, the agency offers financial support for other expenses and severe basic or business needs emanating from the disaster. Other services covered by FEMA include crisis counseling, disaster unemployment assistance, legal services, and special tax considerations for affected small businesses (Haddow, Bullock, & Coppola, 2011).The Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) also aid small businesses in disaster recovery. In these regards, comprehensive approaches to cognitive development begin after birth. Some of the greatest challenges for this form of education are that it is impossible to entirely ascertain the individual&rsquo-s ultimate cognitive abilities at birth. It follows that the education process is one of continual discovery and must be greatly tailored to the specific individual. In terms of specific educational processes, speech therapy is a prominent form of education, as it can target speech errors and increase intelligibility. An increasing amount of scholastic environments have begun including children with Down syndrome in mainstream high school environments(Hassold& Patterson 1999). Some European school systems have implemented a two-teacher system where the student participates in both mainstream classes and classes targeted for their specific impairments. Down syndrome is a recognized chromosomal disorder that occurs when there is at least the partial occurrence of a 21st chromosome.

Dissertation - The impact of corporate governance on performance of companies: listed on the Saudi Stock Market | Subjects: Finance & Accounting - Masters The first argument implies freedom of action, because those actions which do not harm others, should not be banned by the government. Use of marijuana as a means of relaxing is purely a personal choice, therefore, the prohibition of marijuana possession and control of the government should be abolished. Any democratic state can not legally prohibit the citizen to use these or other substances to manage their own health one way or another, so marijuana should be legalized. Everyone has the right to decide for himself whether he will use marijuana or not.The second argument implies misallocation of resources. Strengthening laws against marijuana is usually ineffective. Now the market for illicit substances is under complete and undivided control of organized crime, trafficking in extracting excess profits from illicit substances. Politics of prohibitionism not only revealed their inability to curb the process of drug use and reducing related victims, but on the contrary, contributed to enhancing the drug market. The fight against drug trafficking implies inefficient spending of billions of dollars. During the struggle the huge sums spent on paying the police, lawyers, courts, prisons, but the rate of use of the whole is not reduced, on the contrary, is growing steadily. I believe that the legalization of marijuana is the only one reasonable approach, the only approach that will bring the cannabis from illegal mafia economy sphere, completely indifferent to the health of their customers. Only in this way may lead radical fighting drug trafficking, taking into account respect for civil liberties. Also I should mention that social tolerance has increased considerably over the last decade. The third argument is that marijuana has useful medicinal properties. Studies show that marijuana is less dangerous than tobacco, legalized drugs, and has a number of medicinal properties (for the treatment

The iPhone 5 and 4s were among other devices examined by two competent firms, HealthyStuff and iFixit, and the levels of toxic chemicals was investigated. These two models were found to have the least levels of toxic chemicals, making them the safest phones in the market. The iPhone 6 holds a lot of promise environment-wise. This phone is expected to have environment friendly features, with less of toxic substances than ever recorded on an Apple mobile phone. There is talk that the iPhone 6 will be partially solar powered (Yarow, 2014). This would bring about a new generation of environment friendly smart phones with technology never applied in mobile phones before. The development of such technology would eradicate the constant concern over the dangers posed by toxic chemicals like bromine and lead. These are chemicals used in the manufacturing of mobile phones.Apple is known to release its new models at prices similar to the old ones’ prices (Napier & Kumar, 2013). Assuming they use the same policy, it is expected that the 32GB model of the iPhone 6 will cost more than $550. This price could change if the company continues to sell the iPhone 5s, since the iPhone 6 will definitely have superior technology. This is bound to have an effect on the price of the product. There is continuously mounting evidence that the next generation of Apple is bound to include some few enormous ‘firsts’. The iPhone 6 is supposedly bound to be the first revolutionary iPhone that will include a large display which is of actual benefit to the user. There is a high likelihood that the iPhone 6 will emerge as the exceptional mass market mobile phone that will feature a crystal display cover made of sapphire. The advantage ascribed to the sapphire display is the fact that sapphire glass may prove to be more resistant to scratches in contrast to gorilla glass. The phone is bound to be more aesthetically appealing and attract buyers based o its display’s durability. The release

Majority of these writers define Hinduism as the family of religions.Hindus belief that after a person is born, he or she should strive to obtain impersonal supreme in order to lead a righteous life. It is very difficult to define Hindu religion but the most accepted conception is that Hinduism is rooted in India where the holy books called the Veda were found. The belief system (dharma) of the Hindus is derived from the Vedas. Most Hindus believe in the existence of a supreme being whose character and forms are represented by many deities, which originate from him. In addition, they also believe that living consists of cycle of birth, death, and rebirth and finally administered by what they call the Karma. It is written in the Vedas that the soul goes through a cycle of subsequent lives and its coming incarnation is dependent on how a person lived his or her life while on earth (Knott 41-4).Hinduism belief in eternal life or atman, which they think dictate our existence as human beings. Majority of Hindus have developed different explanations of the self where they view it as eternal servant of God. The belief in the eternal self among the Hindus endorses the concept of reincarnation in the sense that the same self can inherit interim bodies. The concept of eternal self implies that self is a soul or a spiritual entity rather than a physical or material being. This makes Hindus emphasize on the significance of complete detachment from material things and encourages practices such as asceticism (Knott 70).Dharma in Hindu religion is very important since it dictates morality, virtue, and duty. Majority of Hindus have a conviction that dharma was revealed to them in the Vedas or the holy text. Through dharma, the society is held together in peace and harmony since it makes the sun to rise, the vegetations to grow, and makes us ethical or moral individuals. Acting morally does not imply precisely the same for everybody because different

Toyota overhauled its safety practices a few years ago after a spate of recalls for unintended acceleration resulted in a criminal penalty in March of $1.2 billion. General Motors has in recent past spent billions of dollars fixing recalled cars and setting up a fund to compensate ignition-switch accident victims and their families, the company has had to take extreme measures to restore trust in its products and management (Bapuji, 2012).In the period between 1999 and 2011, Toyota Motor Corporation had to recall some of its vehicles from the United States market in three instances. The first two instances came under the assistance of the U.S National Highway Traffic Safety Administration upon receiving reports a large number of vehicles from the company were experiencing unintended acceleration. The first recall was aimed at correcting a possible incursion. The second recall was due to a possible sticking of the accelerator pedal that led to unintended acceleration. The recall impacted negatively on the company as it came at a time when it was struggling from recession and it had also suffered from a decrease in sales in the previous year. The period was also marked by a low exchange rate of the U.S dollar against the Yen. This further led to loss of about 750 jobs at the company in its bid to lower its operating costs. The company may also have been economically affected by the recall as the damage to Toyotas reputation negatively affected the resale value of used cars. The company was able to overcome the situation by making the necessary correction on the recalled vehicles. It further ensured that the new cars that were in the production process were well checked and corrected so that they could not be recalled back. The United States government then allowed the sale of the company’s vehicles into the country after they had done all the necessary inspection to ensure that the problems were well taken care of.Another case of recall Italy approved its constitution in 1947 while American’s constitution was in 1789. There are very many amendments and articles that these constitutions of the two countries contain. They share both similarities and differences in their structure. This paper will show the deep sides of both Italian and American constitution. The American constitution has seven articles. It has also experienced 27 amendments. Framers were the first people who wrote these articles in 1787. They were 55 of them who wanted a better government for the people of America. They came up with these articles after intense debates and discussions. People were involved because these framers made speeches everywhere they went and explained what they wanted to do. It required nine states to approve these articles, and thirteen states voted for these first articles. A constitutional convention conveyed in Philadelphia agreed to pass these articles (Bardes 11). Article 1 approved the powers of the congress. Limits for its functions were also in this article. Congress had the senate and House of Representatives. There functions looked similar, but looking deeper there were some differences. Both had the responsibility of making laws before forwarding it to the president for approval. Senate had the special power of impeachments and signing treaties.Article 2 was mainly concerned with the executive branch. This is the administration part of the government- the president and his cabinet secretaries. It outlined the presidential powers and the roles of each secretary in their allocated department.Article 3 was the base of the formation of the judiciary. These are the court systems in America, both the state and federal ones. Definition of treason is also available in this article. The role of judiciary was to interpret the law. It also gave the courts powers to convict a criminal. It bared the courts from convicting citizens of foreign countries.Article 4

This is important information that needs to be pointed out because it is of great help to understanding her stories. This will be explained further as we try to analyze the short story. Moreover, as applicable to most writers, Welty’s characters reflect her compassion and respect for people and she explores through them what is universal in humanity exposing the mystery that is an inherent part of each individual’s life (690). An individual who believes in his/her abilities performs well in such a setting whereas lack of confidence declines performance. An individual’s awareness of the fact that he/she is being observed by other people in the surrounding greatly impacts his/her performance in the task he/she is doing at a certain point in time. The awareness may improve or decline the performance depending upon the perceived complexity of the task. In a vast majority of cases, when the task at hand is perceived to be easy by an individual who is aware that that he/she is being observed by other people in the surrounding, the individual’s performance in the task increases. This is known as social facilitation. On the other hand, when an individual finds a particular task at hand difficult, his/her performance in it is quite likely to be lowered because of the awareness that he/she is being observed by other people in the surrounding. This process is known as social inhibition. There are several factors that influence human behavior when it is being observed. However, the ‘revenge’ was directed against Muslims in general because the aforementioned event, which was insignificant in comparison to the routine onslaughts in other countries, paved the way for incursions into specific Muslim territories. Under this pretext, the US invaded Afghanistan in October 2001 and invaded Iraq in 2003 to further its geopolitical interests. The War on Terror is an implementation of Manichaeism, as it allowed the USA to make a new enemy after the collapse of the USSR. It is serving its imperialistic ambitions by painting the Muslim World as a new axis of evil and a threat to modern Western civilization. However, this enemy is more abstract than real and the situation is only leading to widespread irrational fear and unnecessary destruction. This war would therefore be more aptly described as a ‘War by Terror’ because the US is the real terrorist on its last vestiges of being a superpower. This paper shows how true this is and the extent to which this fake war is undermining the human rights agenda in world politics. It also examines how the US has managed to perpetrate these crimes and its aggression despite the existence of international laws to prevent abuse and what can be done to control the real evil which now poses a threat to the entire world.
