In 1783, the Montgolfier brothers invented the first practical balloon that demonstrated the flight of hot air balloon (“Early balloon flight in Europe’). 227 years later in 2011, we use supersonic aircrafts that exceed the speed of sound. This rapidity in growth can be greatly attributed to the potential of industrial revolution.During the 18th and 19th century, aviation sector mainly depended upon manpower that included skilled and unskilled labor. As a result, labors were forced to spend long and tedious hours in manufacturing factories. In fact, great skill are required even today in aircraft designing and flying as these processes are highly complex in nature (‘Aircraft design engineer”). However, skilled labors were not adequately available during that time in order to cater the needs of the aviation sector- this situation impeded the growth of aviation sector. The emergence of industrial revolution gave a new life to aviation sector since the manpower was largely replaced with machinery. Therefore, aircraft manufactures could effectively replace their unskilled workers with technically improved machinery which greatly assisted them to minimize production costs to a large extent. If these agreements are not reached at, there is probable threat of a universal instability that may lead to an outbreak of a major war. The strength of the nations is measured by their ability to create super weapons that are superior within the ranks of other nations. This paper argues out the credibility of the nuclear production in Iraq and articulates the measures that may be implemented to sustain the existing global peace. In the 1980s, a serious war broke out between Iran and their neighbors Iraq. There was a high casualty number with the victims having to face the implication of nuclear weapons. The year 2007 assessment by the US intelligence revealed that the Iranian country had been working on a nuclear weapon, and its design had been ended in 2003. The intention for the creation of the weapon was not clear, but it indicated that its completion was still not close. The nation’s capability to generate a complete threatening nuclear program was suggested to be minimal, but recent developments have articulated the production of the weapons as a threat. President Obama confirmed the production of weapons by Iraq when questioned about the possibility of an airstrike by Israel and suggested that the country should stop its nuclear production (Joscelyn).

At the very end, the paper will analyze potential loopholes for exploitation and misuse and give a way forward.Of late there has been a lot of buzz concerning electronic currencies and other virtual monies. According to (Kregel, 2010) there is great potential in shifting towards electronic funds or web cash. The web cash system is at the inception stage and given the level of activity accompanying it, it is expected to reach the maturity phase in a couple of years. JPMorgan has already submitted a patent which seems to set new stage for competition among the already well known players such as Bitcoin (Reardon, 2012). The patented technology referred as JPMorgan Chase, is a new paradigm that facilitate the creation of a new virtual cash accounts with real time digital exchange value. The opponents of Porter’s Diamond Framework hold that a country’s welfare is determined by the absolute level of productivity of the nation, as opposed to the competitiveness of the country against others on the international markets. Nevertheless, the impact of the competitiveness of the international markets on individual countries is something that cannot be ignored. Even though there might lack consensus on how to measure, predict or even explain the competitiveness of countries, it is still a crucial component of nations’ comparative advantage analysis (Siggel, 2006:72). The Porter’s Diamond Framework is a theory that effectively connects the role of nations, industries and firms towards the prosperity of a nation. The provisions of Porter’s Diamond Framework sound true. However, the theory has yet to be put into a rigorous testing, to establish its effectiveness in explaining the interrelationship of nations in the internal market space (Smit, 2010:12). Thus, this analytical discussion seeks to argue that the Porter’s Diamond Framework is convincing in explaining the performance of the business systems of major economies. This proposition will be supported through the application of the Porter’s Diamond Framework in the analysis and comparison of the economies of Israel and Saudi Arabia. The comparison will show that the Porter’s Diamond Framework argument- that it is specialized factors rather than the endowment factors that accounts for a country’s competitiveness, holds true.According to classical theories, factor endowments play the important role in determining both the competitiveness and wellbeing of a nation within the international space. In this respect, the classical theories offer that the comparative advantage of nations reside in the factor endowments that a country has been able to inherit, for example land, Essay - Project 3 | Subjects: Miscellaneous - Masters Thus, computing assisted man immensely and was able to put to maximum use all the sources that were at hand to him.Literally speaking, Computer technology refers to the process of planning, constructing, designing and implementing a computer system. Beverly observes that vaccines do not guarantee the success of preventing a disease (2012). Some vaccines are known to fail, therefore making the patient vulnerable to an attack. On this note, the effectiveness of the performance of a vaccine depends on many factors. Stratton (2004) denotes that the nature of a disease is a factor that may affect the effectiveness of a vaccine. For instance tuberculosis has the capability of resisting any form of a vaccine.Stratton (2004) and Beverly (2012) observe that the strain of the vaccine and the timetable of the vaccination program can influence the success or failure of a vaccination program. Some vaccines work better for a particular strain of disease, and other fail to work.It is also important to follow the timetable of the vaccination program, or else the vaccine might fail to work. Another factor is the genetic nature of an individual, and whether he has the capability of generating anti-bodies which will react with the vaccine to prevent a disease (Beverly 2012 and Stratton 2004).Stratton further denotes that the age of an individual plays a greater role in the efficiency of an immunization (2004). For instance, it is useless to immunize adults against polio, because the vaccine will not work. After conducting a needs assessment on the efficiency of early immunization, this paper is therefore a report on the findings, and a learner analysis of the vaccination program. The main audiences of the analysis are parents who serve in the military. The military provides immunization for their officers through the military immunization agency (Lemon, 2002). Lemon further asserts that the agency has the mandate of ensuring that military officers and their children are immunized against diseases that are a threat to their lives (2002). It is also justified to term I/O a science since the field mostly focuses on conducting research by psychologists. As seen in the research conducted by Aamodt (2015), the psychologists have been indicated to do extensive research that ultimately provides answers to concepts that were seemingly very intricate to find answers and responses on the side of other practitioners. I/O then solves the problems that were previously faced by an organization and even provides answers to matters that touch on the general well being of the employees in an organization (Aamodt, 2015).Different forms of explanatory and inferential data are applied in I/O research. Rogelberg (2008) writes that the I/O psychologists apply the basic procedures, techniques and tools for conducting research. Most bankruptcies would not only involve one creditor but many. Debts are usually classified as secured and unsecured (Bankruptcy Alberta, n.d.). Secured debts originate from valuable assets that come with a security agreement allowing a creditor to take back the assets if a debtor fails to pay or abide by the terms of the agreement with the creditor. Car leases, home mortgages, rent-to-own and other installment purchase contracts are examples of secured debts. The assets such as the car or house in these contracts are given up as collateral if the debtor is unable to pay. The second type of debts is the unsecured debt. This type of debt includes credit cards, overdrafts and the general day-to-day bills that people pay on a regular basis. These debts are often referred to as trade debts. For secured debts, when a debtor is declared bankrupt, the creditor cannot make him pay and his chance to take back the assets from the debtor is very limited. For unsecured debts, the creditors cannot force a debtor who is declared bankrupt to pay regular bills. Unsecured contracts are terminated by a bankruptcy. If a debtor receives a discharge from bankruptcy, the creditor’s right to collect no longer exists. Several laws including the Bankruptcy Code enacted in 1978 govern all bankruptcy cases. The primary goal of these laws is to give debtors a financial fresh start from burdensome debt. Essay - Assertive Behavior | Subjects: Miscellaneous - Undergraduate

However, in cases such as The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, more significant changes are made that reflect Burton’s own style but also represent a sharp contrast to the novel by Washington Irving. Though it is difficult to state one story is better or worse than the other, it is clear Burton developed his version with a different audience in mind. The purpose of many novels is to entertain, but often literary works have a different style and goal as is the case in Washington Irving’s story. Irving is a satirical writer which is no doubt an appealing style to Tim Burton. However, Irving used satire to make moral and political statements in his writing and was not intent on entertaining his audience as much as passing judgment on issues during the era in which the story was written. He wanted his message to be informational by using shocking satirical images to gain reader attention. Burton also focuses on shocking tactics but more to the entertainment and amusement of audience who likely would have no understanding of the puritan world in which Irving lived.

These are some of the flashy images that come to ones mind when thinking about space exploration. The government and NASA have conspired to brainwash the ordinary person with these images, with the aim of grossly exaggerating the budgetary allocations assigned to NASA in every financial year. The statement put across here is that success in space exploration can only be achieved through government funding by employing billions of dollars to fund NASA’s space exploration operations. This statement is a fraud that the government and NASA would have us believes to be the only strategy of achieving success in space exploration programs. NASA would have us believe that extravagant expenditures are the only way of reaching an advanced technological break through in space exploration. However, this is not true, because space technology can be easily equated to an expensive toy, which is flashy and exciting while new but irrelevant and outdated once it has outlived its uses when newer and more exciting toys hit the market shelves. Although government funding is necessary in space exploration, it does not necessarily mean that the funding has to be stretched to billions of dollars begotten from the public coughers. Space exploration may be expensive, but this does not necessarily mean that NASA should ask for exorbitant finances from the government for their space operations. Essay - The History Of Psychology | Subjects: Psychology - Masters There are three identified major perspectives in sociology that aim to evaluate diverse social phenomena: “the symbolic interactionist perspective, the functionalist perspective, and the conflict perspective. These perspectives offer sociologists theoretical paradigms for explaining how society influences people, and vice versa”. The aim of the current essay is to apply two of the three sociological perspectives, particularly the functionalist and the conflict theories in the topic, drug and alcohol abuse among teenagers. The functionalist theory focuses on the interdependence of each aspect of society and a determination of how each aspect is contributory to its effective functioning. The Sociology Guide emphasized that the functionalist approach contends that “order, stability and cooperation in society are based on value consensus that is a general agreement by members of society concerning what is good and worthwhile” . On the other hand, the conflict theory “focuses on the negative, conflicted, and ever-changing nature of society. The conflict model holds that the most important aspect of social order is the domination of some groups by others, that society is best understood as an arena of actual and potential conflict, and that when things look peaceful, it is only because one faction controls or dominates a particular scenario. The conflict perspective to drug and alcohol abuse have been explained in terms of specifically identifying which drugs are illegal and therefore tend to be highly susceptible to abuse.

Essay - Assertive Behavior | Subjects: Miscellaneous - Undergraduate Mass murder is different from spree killing. In mass murder, organizations or individuals commit the crime. However, in spree killing, the crime is executed by one of two people (Frances 5). Moreover, in spree killing, the perpetrators kill commit the crime in more than one location and at an instant while in mass murder, people are killed at an instant and in one location. Government agents also conduct mass murder by intentional and indiscriminate killing of large number of persons. This occurs through execution of unarmed protestors, indiscriminate murder of civilians, carpet bombing of urban places and cities as well as throwing of dangerous weapons like grenades into jails among others (Hillshafer 24). For example, the government may attempt to exterminate entire communities or groups of people based on religion or ethnic background. In US, There is scarce information about mass murder ever since its establishment. Grant Duwe who is the director of research and evaluation at the Minnesota Department of Corrections has assembled data pertaining to US mass murder from 1976 (Duwe 23). His work has established data of 156 mass murders over the last 100 years. He asserts that mass murder in the USA has been occasioned by gun shootings within schools, restaurants, work places among other public places.

The U.S. is still struggling to recover from this crisis to date. Despite the crash, Arizona is reported to have had one of the best recoveries from the crash throughout the U.S. This paper analyzes the causes of Arizona’s real estate market crash. It will also describe why Arizona is having one of the best recoveries of the real estate market in the U.S.The crash of Arizona’s real estate market was caused by a number of factors according to a study. Firstly, economists argue that the crash was caused by poor lending practices that the adopted by lenders just before the crash. In this regard, banks are reported to have lent a lot of money to mortgagers without taking into account their ability to repay the loans. As a result, when the economy of the country started declining, many mortgage owners began experiencing difficulties repaying the loans and the mortgage interests resulting in default. Consequently, since there were no enough homebuyers in the market, prices of homes in Arizona dropped to an all time low leading to the crash (Vannutini Par. 3).The crash was also caused by speculative buying rather than sheltering. A research conducted by the National association of Realtors found out that about 23 percent of homebuyers only do so for investment purposes while about 13 percent of those surveyed identified their buying for vacation, which in itself signifies speculation. A research indicated that a majority of homebuyers from Arizona real estate market bought their houses at low interest adjustable rates with the intention of keeping their costs as low as possible then sold them at higher prices for profit. With speculation, buyers kept off the market when prices are high and making purchases when prices are low. The more the speculation continued the more the market prices declined leading to crash of the market (DeGrace Par.5).Low interest rate is also cited as the leading cause of the Arizona real

The Denver city is one of America’s magnificent urban centers and is located at the foot of Rocky Mountains. The city not only hosts Denver art museum but also a variety of other cultural sites. The history of the museum’s origin relates back to the year 1893. The museum was originally called the Denver artists club and in 1916 it was renamed Denver art association before its name was changed to Denver art museum in 1918. The museum opened a new building in 1954 that was multipurpose building that is presently called the Morgan wing. In October 3rd 1971, the new addition building was opened and was known as the North building, with 7 storey with 24 sides and furnished with more than a million grey glass tiles on the exterior side and is 210000 square foot large enough that I was surprised at the numerous collections it could host under one roof.

By this way, the connectivity gets transmitted to a fiber node, thereby providing connections to home computers and telephones (, n.d). Comparison and Evaluation of the Speed of DSL of AT & T and Cable Modem of Motorola In terms of speed, AT&T is regarded as one of the fastest providers of internet in the respective industry. The DSL service of the company has been viewed to deliver high speed that ranges from 200 Kbps -768 Kbps and even goes to 18.1 Mbps -24 Mbps (AT&T Intellectual Property, 2013). However, the cable modems of Motorola helps in delivering high speed data that offers the option of sharing a single data plan between multiple computers. Its data plans are used for delivering voice as well as data services. However, Motorola’s cable modems can fetch a speed of 38 Mbps which is far impressive as compared to the DSL of AT&T (Motorola Mobility LLC, 2013). Information about the location of the scene and the characteristics of the affected persons should be included. This would involve checking the credibility of the hypothesis. This is done by comparing the hypothesis with the established facts concerning H1N1 disease. Another common method for checking credibility is by testing the hypothesis. This prevention strategy focuses on health education. It is aimed at preventing the H1N1 disease from infecting the people in question. It is done by giving passive and active immunization. It is also achieved by teaching people on how to maintain a healthy diet and the right weight (Gordis 2009).This level of H1N1 disease prevention focuses on treating the disease. Promotion in detection and screening is done at this level. It targets the population that is at risk. Screening of newborns can as well be applied. In order to overwhelm the H1N1 disease and get it treated before many are infected, the disease must have had a period enough for it to be detected before the onset of symptoms. The screening to be performed must be good. It should be sensitive such that this infected test positive. Maximum care should be taken so that it does not give false negatives or positives. The screening method should also be affordable and easy. It should remain painless and reliable as much as possible. Who is to be screened and how often it is to be done should also be worked out (Gordis 2009).The effectiveness of screening for H1N1 is measured by its potential, to decrease the mortality and morbidity of the disease. Correlational studies examine the trending of disease-specific mortality over a determined period of time. Cohort studies and case control are also used to evaluate the screening with volunteer and length-time bias being the major shortcomings. Conducting random clinical random trials can also be employed (Buettner

However, removing those mental dilemmas, and with only a minor conflict between what he feels “is lawful" and "is ethical", he convicts all the judges including Janning. Against Janning, he had strong evidences overriding any dilemmas. That is, despite his favorable credentials, in the Feldenstein case, Janning convicted Feldenstein although he is perceived as an innocent and importantly ordered imprisonment of many innocent Jews concentration camps and thereby facilitated their deaths in. 2. It is clear that although Janning had a creditable background, he has committed or facilitated crimes against the humanity, and thus has to be punished. This is line with the ethical principle of distributive justice as this principle mainly focuses on what is good and ethical to the whole society, instead of catering to individual interests. The argument put in favor of Janning was that, should he be accountable for the deaths in the concentration camp, although he just signed an order for imprisonment. Research Paper - CONCEPT REDESIGN | Subjects: Sociology - College This essay stresses that a child is said to have LD if he or she does not meet the required standards a child of that appropriate age should meet. For example, if a first grader has severe problems in rhyming, has difficulty finding words while conversing with others and isn’t able to indentify alphabets easily, the child is said to have some form of “Learning Disorder”.This paper makes a conclusion that a child with LD does not necessarily show academic non-performance alone. They might have behavioural problems and low self esteem issues. Some children will excel in learning one particular subject like maths or English, while they lack back on all other subject. Some children with LD will excel in academic performance, but they will have issues mixing with other students, working in groups, communicating with others and suffer with low self-esteem issues. Others will have no such issues, but behave in a totally reckless manner, demanding whatever they like, be done immediately. Some children simply have less IQ than others. They have very little concentration power which may or may not improve with age. Scientifically there are various reasons for this condition to occur. Memory capacity, hearing impairments, vision impairments, and physical disorders, mental issues everything affects a child’s learning capacity. Some brains are programmed to work better than others naturally, while others take time to do even normal activities.

This theory is based on the precept that mutual dependence is a vital fact in the development of a person’s character. It points to the fact that no single citizen of any community can function as a contributing member of society through his or her own effort but requires the support of established systems in the society as well as the encouragement of family and friends. This theory, which is rooted in the association between a person and his or her environment, seeks to affirm that all communities are formed through the interdependence that exists between citizens and the local government and other establishments that work to better the community. When these diverse associations are working well, then the levels of crime within any given community will be negligible. When different institutions in society such as the law enforcement authorities, the churches, schools, businesses and other associations are working together, they are able to collectively prevent the rise of crime in their society. The social disorganisation theory was first developed in Chicago, where the communities were divided into five zones that were then studied separately. The crime-riddled regions were identified through the “concentric zone model” (Miller, Shreck and Tewksbury, 2006).

In between the fundamental objectives of enlarging their market visibility is the need to meet the consumer requirements, and so was the very genesis of online shopping. Grocery stores, for instance, have taken the advantage afforded by technology, “raking in roughly $15 billion a year — about 3 percent of brick and mortar supermarkets’ nearly $600 billion sales” (Williams, 2014). Williams further notes that the industry is expected to grow at approximately 13 percent per annum, ‘making up 11 percent of all grocery sales in the next decade. Indeed there is no doubt that the ever increasing use of the Internet has more than transformed shopping experiences with quite a huge chunk of benefits that has enabled the cutting down of costs on both ends of the consumer and the service providers (Appelhans, et al. 2012- Shannon & Mandhachitara, 2008). CuisineThe Turkish cuisine is rich due to the various changes that it has undergone over time. The origin of this cuisine is the Ottoman Empire period which presents the countries most successful era. The rulers of the time only preferred the best foods and they, thus, employed the best cooks who would provide them with what they wanted. This rich cuisine was later mixed with the Anatolia foods which originated on the Eastern side of Turkey. Despite the mix, the cuisines maintained a unique blend and they were distinguishable at a go. Currently, these cuisines are still available in Turkey and they have been chosen to be some of the best cuisines in the world (Edelstein 562). The availability of resources on land and in the sea has served to create a unique cuisine that the people of Turkey, and their visitors, cherish. The management system of reward and punishment will give way to the innovation, individual character and the courage of conviction of a leader. Management skills alone are not enough to create success in an organization. Leaders are needed to seek out areas to improve. They enjoy challenges and taking them head on. Leaders are motivated and expected to challenge existing paradigms. The Theory X and Theory Y were first proposed by Douglas McGregor in his 1960 book The Human Side Of Enterprise. In his theory, there are two fundamental approaches to managing people. According to McGregor, Theory X is the authoritarian style of leadership while Theory Y is the participative style of leadership.(Hindle, 2003)Theory X assumes that the average person dislikes work and will avoid it he/she can. In business, leaders must counteract an inherent human tendency to avoid work. Therefore most people must be forced with the threat of punishment to work towards organizational objectives. The average person prefers to be directed. He chooses to avoid responsibility. He is relatively unambitious, and wants security above all else.Theory Y assumes that people have the tendency to exercise self-direction and self-control in an environment that favors them. This theory could motivate people to become high achievers. People will apply self-control and self-direction in the pursuit of organizational objectives, without external control or the threat of punishment. Committed people considers effort in work as natural as work and play.

The Spanish missions in California constituted also a tested method for attracting, controlling, and acculturating of Indians, which later served a purpose of exploiting Indians’ labor for economic production and economic benefits. From the critical perspective, the long lasting impact of the Franciscan missions has been twofold: for Spain they yielded positive results as agents of economic and administrative penetration, while for Native Americans missions, along with their acculturation, religion and ideology, brought detrimental consequences.Despite the practically tested and proven strategies for occupation, in the very beginning California presented significant new problems to be solved by the Spanish. California was not an expansion of an already settled area, but was the occupation of a region isolated from other Spanish-occupied territories. Even the mission chain that was slowly creeping north in Baja California was some distance from Alta California (Robertson, Baja California, 12). The province would have to rely on supply ships, until land routes could be opened across the desert. There was no mineral wealth to draw settlers such a great distance from the more civilized areas of New Spain. As a result, great dependence would have to be placed on the California Indians to populate the province. There was little prospect of financial profit from the province, and with the Empire already short of money, the whole process had to be as inexpensive as possible. Finally, the Indians of California were hunters and gatherers, like the

In winning 200 million dollars one of the first things I would recognize is that I need to preserve some sort of structure within my life. Past lottery winners have even gone as far as keeping the jobs they held before winning the lottery (Celezic). While I don’t believe that I would keep working the same job I would attempt to preserve many of the aspects of my current life. In these regards, I would continue to live in the same town. I would also work at keeping the same group of friends. Rather I would implement my money to stay within the general structure of my current life, but enjoy it in fantastic ways. For instance, I would buy a much larger house, with a pool, and an excellent view. I would then throw large parties at this home. This way I would be able to keep some semblance of my current existence, while enjoying the thrill of the million-dollar prize. Another important element of winning a million dollars is making safe investments. .
